Course Description
The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe Play is ideal for Grades 6-8.
The curriculum gives teachers a clear path for acting instruction and play production. The interactive videos show students how to establish a strong warm up routine, create a strong character through voice and body, prepare for an audition, script analysis, character development, memorization techniques, stage areas, and blocking. It also provides tips for set & prop design, lighting, costumes & makeup.
The resource kit provides all of the tools necessary for both online and in-class instruction with lesson plans which align with national standards and a variety of learning activities.
Nearpod Lessons can be used for online delivery or flipped classroom instruction. Nearpod activities include quizzes, fill-in-the-blanks, role play with open-ended questions, collaboration boards, FlipGrid for video submissions, and matching pairs. All of the Nearpod Activities provide both formative and summative assessments and are editable so that teachers can customize them as needed.

Cynthia Lowa has taught acting and voice at Windermere Preparatory School, University of Central Florida, The Children’s Theatre of Florida, the New York Film Academy at Disney/MGM Studios, and other Orlando studios for more than ten years. She has directed multiple productions including Dear Edwina, Starmites, Tom Sawyer, The Rockin’ Tale of Snow White, Peter Pan and Wendy, Shrek the Musical, Murder at the Banquet, Nobody to Murder, and Lion King, Jr., A Broadway Musical Revue; The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe, and others!
